Born September 2nd, 1998, raised in Rockwood, ON, Wes has been on a life long journey of creating music. Self taught on piano from age 6, then later guitar, and classical voice training, Wes began creating his own projects right out of his bedroom since he was 14. He received recognition for his songwriting from several international competitions, winning “Best Screen Shot Song” in the ISC 2017 with his song “Worth It” and winning “Best Young Songwriter” at the Toronto Independent Music Awards, 2016. Wes writes feel good music with deep lyrical content. He best describes his music as “Beats & Ballads”; a combination of AC/pop with RnB vibes and grooves. He incorporates the use of keyboard and guitar, showcasing the process by which his music comes to life. His songs and performance style have been compared to a cross between Charlie Puth and Khalid. Over the last 4 year, Wes has released several singles and an EP, most recently teaming up with producer Niko The Kid and Cindy Valentine. Wes’ single and video “I Want Your Love” features Kofi Black (Wyclef Jean protégé RnB performing artist). With his recent success, Wes gained the attention of former Sony/ Artista recording artist/composer-turned-manager for the Star Groomer and A&R for Play and Oracle records, Cindy Valentine who has taken him under her wing.
